Eagles DE Babin’s plans to run with the bulls are off

Philadelphia Eagles DE Jason Babin made headlines recently when he revealed plans to run with the bulls in Pamplano, Spain in July.

It didn’t sound like a good idea at the time and after teammates, including Mike Vick, questioned the wisdom of the decision, Babin will reportedly plan to check off this item from his bucket list at a later time.

Babin didn’t directly come out and say, “I no longer plan to run with the Bulls, ” but instead feigned confusion.

“I’m not sure what you guys are talking about. I’m a little confused. I’m not a big basketball fan but growing up I was a Bulls fan. I’m confused. I have a lot of bulls on my farm in Texas.”

Did his teammate’s comments get to him? Did he get an official talking-to from someone on the team? We may never know. The most Babin would say about the change of heart was, “things change, times change.”

So it seems.

  • that is the BEST confused response ever. i love it. i was a bulls fan. i have bulls on my farm. sometimes i wonder about the things running through athletes’ heads. given how teams feel about them running marathons, i can only imagine how management felt about an athlete employee running with the bulls.

    • Haha! Yes, his “deja vu” was hilarious. For these types of situations I think there needs to be something called a WTF room at every team’s complex. When an athlete gets called in, someone inquire about whichever questionable choice that was made (or is in the process of being made) and very simply asked said athlete, “WTF?!”

Any team that adopts this idea owes me some money.
