In this long, dramatic season for the Philadelphia Eagles it seems that the mess surrounding Jim Washburn is deserving of its own miniseries.

“Washburn operated apart from Castillo, running his own little defensive line fiefdom and often either ignoring Castillo or derisively calling him ‘Juanita’ in front of his players,” a veteran Eagles player told [Reuben] Frank. “He was condescending and confrontational and embarrassed Castillo frequently in meetings and at practice and also went over the line criticizing his players at times.”

News of more bad decisions from Howie Roseman–a report says that he was integral in Jim Washburn’s hiring:

“After Fisher was fired by the Titans, Washburn was let go as well and therefore available, so Roseman encouraged Reid to move quickly to sign him to a deal.

In making this move, Reid broke some of the rules which had helped him build a winning tradition with the Eagles in Philadelphia. He had never hired  a defensive line coach before hiring the defensive coordinator.”

And we know how well that turned out. –

Brandon Graham started this year determined to prove that he is not a bust. Jason Babin’s departure provided him an opportunity to move into the starting lineup on Sunday night. So how did he do? – Bleeding Green Nation

  • Roseman and Lurie seem clueless. Did either of
these clowns ever play or coach? I mean what about
making Vic your starter and signing him for all
that money? Any idiot knows that was a bad idea.
Sure vic would have made a good “wildcat” option,
and a great backup but hes not a great pick to start.

  • Lurie and Rosestein are Clueless, we all know that.
