Morning Muse: The search for Andy Reid’s successor is underway


It’s hard to believe that it was only Sunday that the 2012 regular season ended for the Philadelphia Eagles. Since then, Andy Reid has been ousted as head coach, Jeffrey Lurie has spoken and out put his full confidence behind GM Howie Roseman and the search for a new head coach has begun.

One of the latest rumors: The Eagles will target Penn State’s Bill O’Brien and Mike McCoy of the Broncos. – CSNPhilly

The Birds will interview three Atlanta Falcons coaches: offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, defensive coordinator Mike Nolan and Falcons special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong. An interview with Nolan is said to be set up for this week. –

We’ve learned that the Birds are interested in just about everyone from the Falcons, it seems, but rumor has it that Oregon’s Chip Kelly is till the top name on their list of prospective candidates. –

Andy Reid will most assuredly land on his feet in the NFL and it looks like a reunion with his former protegee Kevin Kolb could be in his future, with the Arizona Cardinals in hot pursuit of Big Red. It’s reported that a deal could be done as soon as the end of the week- CBS Sports
