Philadelphia Eagles sign veteran Jake Scott to bolster offensive line

The Philadelphia Eagles hope that veteran offensive lineman Jake Scott can add some much needed help to their offensive line, signing him to a one-year contract on Monday.

The team hopes that Scott’s experience with Howard Mudd for four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts from 2004-07 will help him adjust to the Birds’ line quickly. The 6-5, 292 lineman most recently played for the Tennessee Titans from 2008 to 2011.

There is a chance that Scott will play right guard immediately, meaning that the other remaining players to line up at tackle are Demetress Bell, Dennis Kelly, and King Dunlap, whose name should now be synonymous with a swear word after his string of bone-headed moves on Sunday.
