In the end, the anticipated drama, intrigue and complex trade scenarios did not come to pass for the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite reports of late inquiries with the Buccaneers and the Titans regarding the top two spots to get Marcus Mariota, Chip Kelly stayed with the 20th overall spot and selected WR Nelson Agholor from USC for their first round pick in the 2015 draft. Indianapolis is the focal point of the NFL this frigid weekend as the combine is underway. The upcoming draft’s most promising players are putting their physical prowess on display for all to see, and scouts are giving their undivided attention.

The Eagles are there (they’re not talking, but they’re there), of course, evaluating who should be targets for the team come late April.

Eric Kendricks is the brother of defensive beast Mychal Kendricks. Eric is also a linebacker. The Philadelphia Eagles’ Pro Bowl shuffle continues.

Last week, RB LeSean McCoy pulled out of the game due to a minor knee injury. Soon thereafter, it was announced that long snapper Jon Dorenbos and WR Jeremy Maclin were added to the Pro Bowl roster and would soon be making the trip to Arizona. Maclin was to replace the Broncos’ Demaryius Thomas; Dorenbos was selected as a need player by Pro Bowl coach Jason Garrett.

Morning Muse MugIt’s the last day of 2014, and the Philadelphia Eagles are already settling into the reality of the offseason. After their 34-26 win over the Giants on Sunday, all was said and done for their season. The team once again found itself with a 10-6 record, but this time with no playoff berth. So, instead of cheering on the Birds, our joy this weekend will be rooting for the Detroit Lions to crush the Cowboys.
